PEOPLE chanted “Zuma Must Fall” when Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema addressed dozens of his party supporters in Joburg central yesterday.
Addressing the people, Malema said his party would bring the city back into the hands of black people who are currently paying high rents.
“We will make the city of Joburg’s flats into nice family living apartments,” he said.
Malema slammed the Metro police who usually reinforce the bylaws in the city among hawkers.
“Police are afraid of drug lords around the city.
“So they fight with poor hawkers who make money innocently.
“They must stop fighting with oranges and apples and face the criminals who make the city dangerous to live in,” he said.
Malema told residents in the area that whenever they face illegal eviction they must report to their nearest EFF branch.
He urged his supporters to go in their numbers to vote for his party as it was the only party in South Africa that could free the people and bring economic justice.
“We will not allow people in the city to sleep in the streets and under bridges,” he said.
Many residents voiced their problems to Malema.
