MEYIWA’S CHILDREN WILL GET R2 MILLION
    Kelly Khumalo  ~
PSL Chairman Irvin Khoza announced that Senzo Meyiwa’s children will get a R2 million pay-out from the player’s life policy. The policy paid out a total of R4 million with the other R2 million going to Meyiwa’s club Orlando Pirates.
Senso’s father Sam Meyiwa, the family spokesperson Siyabonga Meyiwa and the goalkeeper’s customary wife Mandisa Mkhize attended the press conference in Johannesburg.
Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus at the home of his popstar girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in 2014. The killers are still at large and the Hawks have apparently taken charge of the case. He was captain of both Pirates and Bafana Bafana at the time of his death.
“It’s great to ease the pain and also to bring to end the speculation regarding this policy pay-out matter. The important thing now is that Senzo’s murder must be solved. That will be important for justice and for the confidence of this country,” said Khoza.

Prominent football administrator and attorney Raymond Hack is the executor of the policy. ”The money will be directed at Senzo’s children. It is to benefit them financially for things like school fees and other important issues. At this stage there are only three children. If there are more than that they have to make a claim to the Guardian Trust Fund through the courts and prove their claim and if they are proved to be Senzo’s children they will receive a portion of the benefit.”
Said Siyabonga: “It was always Senzo’s wish to have his children happy in their lives. The money given to the children is the right decision from the PSL and it will hugely help the kids on their daily needs.”

    MBEKI TACKLES ANC WOMEN'S LEAGUE!

FORMER president Thabo Mbeki has criticized  the ANC Women's League for repeating the "baseless" allegation that he introduced President Jacob Zuma to the Gupta family.
"We have noted [yesterday] statement of the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) issued by the league’s secretary general, Meokgo Matuba, in which, as is the right of the ANCWL, the organisation faithfully and dutifully defends the Gupta family among other personalities," the Thabo Mbeki Foundation said in a statement today.
"The only thing we would like to add, which we hope the secretary general and the entire leadership of the ANCWL will internalise, is that lies have never saved anyone because lies have short legs."
Earlier this week, Mbeki denied introducing the controversial Gupta family to Zuma.
This was after Mpho Masemola, a representative of the Ex-Political Prisoners Association, alleged the Guptas were a legacy of Mbeki's presidency.
"For the record, President Thabo Mbeki did not at any point introduce the Gupta family to President Zuma," the foundation said in a statement on Monday.
Even if the claims were true and Mbeki had introduced them, he could not be held responsible for what may or may not have happened between Zuma and the Guptas.

OUR AUNT WON’T LET US BURY OUR BROTHER!
The four Rankeng siblings decided to have their brother’s funeral against their aunt’s wishes. Photo by Zamokuhle Mdluli  ~
“OUR monster auntie won’t let us bury our brother with dignity!”
These were the words of the Rankeng siblings from Diepkloof zone 3 in Soweto, who toldDaily Sun that their aunt wouldn’t let them have a funeral for their brother in her yard.
Dikeledi (26), Minah (16), Lerato (31) and Stanley Rankeng (26) said they had been fighting with their aunt, over the issue for the past two months.
“She told us people who come to the service will leave her yard a mess and she doesn’t want that,” said Dikeledi.
She said they had decided to have the funeral today against their aunt’s wishes.
“However, she said if that happened things would get ugly.
“We don’t understand this. What are we supposed to do with our brother’s body if we don’t bury him? Should we throw him away?” asked Dikeledi.
“This house belonged to our grandparents and it is the family home.
“She has no right denying us access.”
Dikeledi claimed their aunt once tried to evict them but the issue went to court and she lost.
Since then, the siblings have been living in back rooms and avoid their aunt.
Dikeledi said her brother, Itumeleng (33) was stabbed to death in Hillbrow two months ago and his body had been lying in the mortuary since then.
Stanley alleged that their aunt chased away mourners who came to pay tribute to Itumeleng several times. The aunt told the SunTeam no funeral would happen in her yard and that was final.
        She refused to comment further.

ONLY WE CAN FREE THE PEOPLE – JUJU!

PEOPLE chanted “Zuma Must Fall” when Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema addressed dozens of his party supporters in Joburg central yesterday.
Addressing the people, Malema said his party would bring the city back into the hands of black people who are currently paying high rents.
“We will make the city of Joburg’s flats into nice family living apartments,” he said.
Malema slammed the Metro police who usually reinforce the bylaws in the city among hawkers.
“Police are afraid of drug lords around the city.
“So they fight with poor hawkers who make money innocently.
“They must stop fighting with oranges and apples and face the criminals who make the city dangerous to live in,” he said.
Malema told residents in the area that whenever they face illegal eviction they must report to their nearest EFF branch.
He urged his supporters to go in their numbers to vote for his party as it was the only party in South Africa that could free the people and bring economic justice.
“We will not allow people in the city to sleep in the streets and under bridges,” he said.
Many residents voiced their problems to Malema.

A ZIMBABWEAN woman has been arrested after beating her pregnant 20-year-old domestic worker to death for refusing to disclose the father of her unborn child, reportsNewsDay.
Unidentified sources revealed that Lucia Pedro, 31, allegedly brutally assaulted her domestic helper Tazorodzwa Takavada with an electric cable after noticing her coming out of the toilet with chillies.
Pedro asked what she was doing with the chillies, and Takavada divulged that she intended to use them for an abortion.
This allegedly stirred up Pedro's curiosity about the father of the unborn baby, but Takavada refused to tell her who he was.
Later, Pedro used an electric cord to beat her all over the body.
Takavada reportedly died the following day after she went to bed complaining about being weak.

MMM FOUNDER COULD FACE THE HEAT!
Russian founder of MMM Global, Sergey Mavrodi.  ~
A NEW Russian law that makes Ponzi schemes illegal could add to the troubles of the South African MMM community, whose global founder is Russian.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a government bill in March introducing up to six years of jail time for organisers of Ponzi schemes.
A Ponzi scheme is an organisation that operates through fraud. Investors are tricked into thinking they can get quick returns on their investments. At first the organisers do pay people out, encouraging others to invest. Eventually the scheme collapses and the organisers flee with the remaining money.
It is now against Russian law to organise a Ponzi scheme that takes more than 1.5 million rubles (R320 000) in assets from people.
This is according to the Russian Legal Information Agency’s website.
The Russian founder of MMM Global, Sergey Mavrodi, served jail time for his MMM Ponzi scheme in 2007, but re-launched MMM on his release in 2011.
He launched MMM South Africa in February 2015 and the “community” has grown in large numbers.
With the law in place, Russian investigators will likely go after Mavrodi first, explained BehindMLM, a blogsite that investigates such schemes.
Members of MMM in Mzansi have been sharing stories of their continued success on MMM. They describe the platform as an online community for money sharing, not a Ponzi scheme.
But consumer experts have warned that it has all the signs of a dodgy pyramid scheme.
The National Consumer Commission investigated MMM along with eight other schemes in 2015, and has handed over its findings to the Hawks.
The Hawks said last week there investigations were currently delayed.
