GOGO Lesego Dujwa lives in fear of her son’s ex-girlfriend.

The 56-year-old from Kagiso, in Mogale City, told Daily Sun her son, Mongezi (34), started seeing the woman in 2014 – and she knew she was trouble from the beginning.

“After she was kicked out of her parents’ house, she moved to a squatter camp which is near our house,” she said.

“I used to be scared Mongezi would get attacked when he visited her, so I suggested they move in with me.”

Lesego claimed it proved to be a huge mistake as the girlfriend, Nthabeleng Morapedi, soon started bringing men to her house, throwing big parties and insulting her and her son when she was drunk.

“I got fed up because she would even wash her other boyfriends’ clothes at my house. She always fought with us and she once even stabbed my son and me.

“She said she would kill us,” claimed Lesego.

Mongezi told the SunTeam he regretted the day he met his ex-girlfriend.

“She stabbed my mum when I told her I wanted to break up and she should move out.

“Making matters worse, the police laughed at me when I tried to open a case.”

Daily Sun contacted Nthabeleng, who claimed Lesego was making up stories.

“That woman is poison.

“She never liked me. She always wanted to break us up.

“She made up the stories about me bringing men to the house.

“As to the stabbing incident, she attacked me first and I was defending myself,” she claimed.

Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant Kay Makhubela advised Mongezi to report the matter to his police station’s commander, who would help him.

Johannesburg - The axed teacher who stabbed a Soweto school principal multiple times had been harassing her and her staff for months, Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said on Tuesday.

He had been sending the Paul Mosaka Primary School principal text messages and showing up at the school after he was fired last year.

“The school gave me a chilling statement about the individual and that he has been harassing the principal for quite some time. Not only the principal but the entire school community,” Lesufi said.

This happened after parents complained that the man was not teaching their children appropriately. 

The district office then examined his qualifications and found they were fraudulent. He was given six months to provide original documents of his qualifications but refused.

“That’s when we instituted disciplinary processes and it was during that period that things turned nasty,” Lesufi said.

On Monday morning, the teacher arrived at the school in Pimville, Soweto, and allegedly waited for the principal. When she arrived, he allegedly threw stones at her car. 

“As she opened her car door, he pulled her out of her car and stabbed her several times. Some of the bystanders started shouting and screaming,” police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said at the time.

Police caught him later and took him to the Kliptown police station. He was expected to appear in court soon on charges of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.

The woman was in a critical condition in hospital. 

It was understood that the man had been demanding that the principal sign forms which would allow him to return to work, but she kept referring him to the district office.

Opposed to bail

The department would help police ensure that the man’s bail application was not successful, Lesufi said.

“We need to protect him from himself, and protect him from society as well.

“I also don’t think it is advisable, for the sanity of these young ones, to know that this particular person is outside there,” Lesufi said.

He said pupils and staff needed support from the department, including counselling and tighter security.

“We are strengthening the security at the gate and we’ve taken over the running of the school until we are sure that the situation is stabilised.”

Lesufi said the fact that the man had managed to secure a job and work undetected for a period of time was embarrassing for the department.

“Those are the things that, to be quite frank, embarrass some of us. The reality is that, I am told, when you don’t have an eye to check for fraudulent documents, you will not be in the position to pick it up.”

He said this problem was slowly being dealt within Gauteng. Systems were already in place to pick up bogus teachers.

The SA Council of Education said in a statement earlier this month that it had detected more than 20 cases of people teaching with fraudulent qualifications.

It was working with universities, education departments and the South African Qualifications Authority to ensure that the qualifications of all teachers were authentic.

Gogo's PANTIES HAUNT US!

THE gogo believes she is just exercising her rights and enjoying her freedom.

But her neighbours believe freedom doesn’t have anything to do with hanging panties on the burglar bars.

Neighbours said they were very unhappy that gogo Nelly Maseko (78) hung her underwear to dry where everyone could see it.

Nonky Maloma (40) from Alexandra, north of Joburg, told Daily Sun: “Whenever I go out I’m forced to look at my neighbour’s tattered underwear! Her door is right next to mine.”

Nonky said she and other neighbours had tried to talk to gogo Nelly.

“She tells us to stop complaining,” said Nonky.

Nonky also complained that Nelly threw dirty bath water on the doorstep.

“It smells. It is difficult to eat with the doors open because of the stench,” she said.

She said they have brought in social workers, the CPF, the local councillor and even the police but nothing has helped.

“I don’t want to fight with her but this can’t carry on,” she said.

The gogo told Daily Sun other people enjoyed their freedom in their own way.

“They walk around naked in their houses. Why do I have to answer to someone else?

“This is my house. I have the right to do what makes me happy.”

She said she only took orders from her mum, who has been dead for a long time.

She said all she was doing was enjoying the freedom of having her own property, which was something many people never got to do.

Violet Ntuli said her kids also didn’t like looking at the gogo’s underwear.

“If she would stop hanging her underwear on the door I wouldn’t have a problem with her,” she said.

‘Holy’ gogo scammed me

PHUMLA Dubani (51) was in terrible pain last March when a churchgoing gogo came to pray at her bedside. Now the gogo has allegedly stolen from Phumla!

Phumla, from Katlehong in Ekurhuleni, said the gogo used her ID and address to get an R80 000 loan. The bank is threatening to repossess Phumla’s house and many other churchgoers have said they were also scammed.

Phumla said: “She asked me if I had a bank account she could use to have money transferred. I didn’t have an active account and she said she would open one.”

Phumla gave the suspect her ID and proof of residence. Five months later, she started receiving calls from the bank saying she owed money.

She opened a case at the Tokoza Police Station and the suspect was arrested and charged with fraud.

Police spokesman Captain Piet Rossouw said the suspect was released on bail. She will appear in the Alberton Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Ben 10 runs away with stokvel money!

GOGO Nonkanyiso Dakuse (74) was a good stokvel treasurer.

But then her 23-year-old Indian Ben 10 promised her discounted rates for the stokvel’s tour to Cape Town – and that is when the trouble started!

The Ben 10, known as Mohammed Motsepe, has now disappeared with the sum of R65 000 belonging to the Transkei Retired Educators’ Stokvel.

The members were told they would spend a week’s holiday at the five-star Table Bay Hotel and they would fly in an executive jet.

Instead, in the end they had to sleep in the Khayelitsha community hall and travel in a “bhokhwe” bus to Cape Town.

“We almost died of shock when we heard Motsepe had disappeared with our money.

“Nonkanyiso had told us that young man was her boyfriend,” said stokvel chairperson madala Sigidimi Xundu (84).

“He said they hoped Nonkanyiso would be present at their last stokvel meeting, but she never arrived.

They claimed Nonkanyiso had stopped taking their calls and instead refers them to Pinky Saliwa.

“We were told that Pinky was a private detective, but she was just Nonkanyiso’s friend.

“Police told us we can’t open a case because we gave the money voluntarily and we have no written agreement.”

Nonkanyiso told Daily Sun Mohammed told her that he was related to Patrice Motsepe.

“He said he was rich and knew hotel owners who would give him discounts. I gave him the R65 000 when we were having a picnic in Cape Town.”

She said she was not avoiding the members and she would pay them back.

“I know Mohammed loves me and he will bring back the money,” the gogo said.

She said it was wrong for the media and cops to be involved.

The stokvel was formed in 2004 by retired teachers so that they could travel annually. The SunTeam tried calling what is allegedly Mohammed’s office number, but it rang unanswered.

Grandma allows her son to rape her 12-year-old granddaughter

A young girl was betrayed by every member of her family.

A young girl was raped by her uncle while her grandmother was in the house and did nothing when the girl cried out for help.

The grandmother failed to stop her uncle from raping her. Then, the family went against victim's wishes and forgave the rapist. They accepted money from him as compensation for the rape, instead of calling police. The teen was sexually abused by her 34-year-old uncle, who is the girl’s mother’s brother, while she was visiting her grandmother.

The 12-year-old from Mpumalanga, South Africa, has said that her uncle raped her while his grandmother was with her, but she did nothing to help. "My uncle told me he was going to kill me if I told anyone. I do not understand why my grandmother was in the room. There is no secret," she said.

The girl told her father about the incident and she wanted her uncle, who is a married man, to be locked up forever for destroying her life. The girl’s 66-year-old father, who is a pastor, said he has forgiven the man and accepted a payment of almost $5,000."We are Christians and do not believe in punishing people who have already apologized. This man has repented for his sins," he said.

The girl's uncle does not deny anything. He met the girl’s parents on Saturday and offered to pay damages. He then handed over almost $5,000.00, which the family accepted. "I know what I did was wrong. I do not know what came over me. I left my wife at home and headed to my niece. I'm so sorry," the rapist said.

“Good Christian parents protect their child, not the rapist who harmed their child. Police should investigate as to how many other rapists the pastor has forgiven instead of giving them over to police,” John Aguiar, 50, of Gauteng, South Africa told YourJewishNews.com when asked his opinion about the father who forgave his brother-in-law who raped his daughter.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gerald Sedibe said police cannot do anything if the family does not file a complaint. "We need families to report these issues so we can investigate," Sedibe said.

Grandmother jailed for 10 years for child rape

An Mpumalanga pensioner has been sentenced to 10 years in jail by the Nelspruit Regional Court for helping her boyfriend rape her seven-year-old grandchild, and infecting her with HIV.

The 67-year-old woman, from Daantjie near Mbombela, was arrested with her boyfriend in 2008 following the repeated rape of her grandchild, a Sapa correspondent reported on Friday.

She may not be named to protect the child's identity. She pleaded not guilty to rape, conspiracy to commit rape, and attempted murder.

The court heard that the boyfriend, who was HIV-positive, had died.

Passing sentence on Thursday, Magistrate Andre Geldenhuys said although the woman was reported to have been infected with the HI-virus by her boyfriend, she denied being positive before court, saying she used muti to cure herself.

"You said you knew he was HIV-positive, and you used muti. But your health is poor and you currently are on crutches, indicating you suffer from disabilities," Geldenhuys said.

"It is clear you still have the virus."

He said the woman was convicted of helping in the rape of her grandchild, by keeping guard for her boyfriend during the rapes.

"As her grandmother, you should have protected her as she is your daughter's child. But you carried on and exposed her to such violation and humiliation. What makes things worse is that it happened not once but several times, and on different days," he said.

Geldenhuys said there was no evidence about whether the boyfriend influenced her or not, as she had denied any involvement and did not testify.

"The fact is that you have been found guilty of playing a role by assisting him. What is more aggravating is that you show no remorse, which gives this court no substantial and compelling circumstances for a lesser sentence," he said.

He denied her leave to appeal the conviction.
