GOSPEL star Sechaba Pali said he thanks God for saving his life after he was hijacked over the weekend.
Speaking from hospital, Sechaba told the SunTeam how thugs took his BMW 545i, which had R8 000, his laptop and CDs inside.
He said he was driving home on Sunday after performing at the Mmabatho gospel concert when he made a stop at a traffic light near the Carousel Casino in Hammanskraal, Tshwane at about 9pm.
“I remember seeing two beautiful women who asked me for a lift. They said they wanted to go to Jubilee Mall and being a good person, I said yes.
“But when they opened the doors I felt something hit me on the back of the head,” he said.
Sechaba said the next thing he remembered was waking up in a ditch.
“I believe they knocked me out and tossed me onto a wet bush. My hands and legs were tied up and my mouth was gagged,” he said.
“I felt very dizzy and weak. I stood up and forced myself to move until I found somewhere I could get help.”
A source said: “I suspect his attackers used a taser to paralyse him.
“He managed to crawl to the road and got help from a truck driver who left him at a fruit stall to phone an ambulance.”
Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said a case was opened but no arrests had been made yet.
