Man kills wife for not cooking chicken livers

East London – A 69-year-old Willowvale man was arrested for allegedly killing his 67-year-old wife when she did not serve him chicken livers for supper, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.
She died after he allegedly beat her with a stick on Monday, Captain Jackson Manatha said.
He demanded that she cook chicken livers, but was told they were not yet ready. He went to bed and when he woke up at 01:25 on Tuesday he took a stick and beat his wife on her upper body.
She died on the scene. The man was arrested and would appear in the Willowvale Magistrate's Court on a murder charge on Thursday.
