South African DJ and music producer DJ Black Coffee has got a shout-out from President Jacob Zuma.

Zuma congratulated the “home-grown” star – whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo – for his great achievement of being the first South African music artist to win a Black Entertainment Television (BET) award.
Black Coffee won the BET Award in the "Best International Act-Africa" category at the awards ceremony held on Saturday night in the US city of Los Angeles.
The BET Awards were established in 2001 to celebrate African- Americans and other minorities in music‚ acting‚ sports‚ and other fields of entertainment.
"DJ Black Coffee continues to inspire our youth with this achievement and has now become our prime international export in the music industry‚ as an example of the South African youth talent. Our nation is immensely proud of him and this achievement in particular. We congratulate him most heartily‚" said Zuma.
